My name is John Stoner and I am a podiatrist with 24 years’ experience and started my podiatry career in the United Kingdom.
I came to Australia in 2008 working at Albany Regional Hospital where I was head of department for 10 years. During this time, I was responsible for the care of diabetic patients and the foot complications that can occur from this. On a personal note, I enjoy recreational walking having done major parts of the Biblumen track and I also enjoy creative writing. My special interest is in chronic disease management and care of the diabetic foot. My aim with patients under my care is to explain the diagnosis clearly, provide appropriate advice and particularly with patients with diabetes, to look at the long – term health picture with a view to preventing complications.
