To make the most of your initial appointment, please bring a few items with you. We suggest 2-3 pairs of the shoes you wear most often, along with any current orthotics, braces, or other equipment you use. Wearing clothing that allows easy access to your feet and lower limbs and that is comfortable for movement is ideal. Additionally, noting any symptoms, discomfort, and factors affecting these can assist us in our diagnosis and treatment plan. 

You don’t need a referral to book an appointment with our podiatrists. If you are using an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan, you will need a referral to claim under Medicare. Some private health insurance claims may also require a referral for certain conditions – we advise checking with your GP or provider if you are uncertain.

In your first consultation, your podiatrist will spend time understanding your concerns, medical background, and treatment goals. Following this, we will carry out a detailed examination of your feet and lower limbs, which often includes gait analysis and a close look at any areas of concern. After completing the examination, we’ll discuss our findings and propose a treatment plan.
